Help!!! I am really new to this - you can tell because I don't know what I am doing :nc:

This time I need to know what program I need to use when I download an embroidery program from the internet.

I know I need to have a memory card to put it in my ebmbroidery machine, but there is a step I am missing because my computer does not recognise the program when I download a pattern.

Please help???????

Step by step if one of you wonderful experienced embroiderers would take the time please?????

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

I believe that you need a program called PED Basic which is a Brother product and sells for around $130 (commonly available at Wal Mart and a whole lot of other places). Here is a just a little information on it. There may well be other programs/methods available as well. I'm sorry, I'm not just real good on the "card thing". That is one issue I haven't had to deal with.

Hi Kate,

I have a Deco 650 and use the Ultimate Box by Vikant. There are two others, Amazing Box and Magic Box. The UB is very easy to use. The Deco uses PES format. You cannot view the designs on your computer without one of these programs.

I don't have a link to share but if you google you can find the information to help you make a decision on the one that best fits your needs. Wish I could be more help in that area.

Good luck.

BTW......don't know about experience but I surely do have fun.

I've got a Deco 500 and the Ultimate Box which I really like. I also have Embird so I can design my own stuff now, but am finding the Deco just isn't able to handle some of the stuff I want it to do. Embird is nice, because you can download almost any format and change it to .PES so the Deco can read it. Opens up a whole new world!
