A very Merry Christmas full of the wonders of peace and love in your homes!! We are celebrating Dec 24 as I will be working Dec 25,26 at the hospital. My DH is going to be helping out with the homeless Christmas morning breakfast and gift giving (the one we made the 150 bags for) so I don't feel so bad that he will be alone for most of the day.

What a wonderful way for your hubby to spend Christmas. I hope you have a Very Merry Christmas too and the same goes for all of you here at SWN!!!!
I spent 5 hours baking yesterday. I made 4 different kinds of cookies, a cake, fudge, and baklava (my favorite!) and finally finished all my gift wrapping. Oh yeah, dd and I decorated a gingerbread house too! My neice asked me to sew up a fleece blanket for her from soccer print fleece she picked up at Hancock's, so she can give it to her fiance. She planned to do it herself but had some problems with it. Of course I was still sewing this morning but I'm all finished now! The things I do for her. :monkey:
We'll be heading out to my parent's house in a few hours but we'll be staying home tomorrow.
"See" you all in a couple of days!MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!!!!!!!!

Have fun to you all! Basil and Katie are just vacuuming up all the nut shards from where they knocked them all over the room, mostly Basil appears to be vacuuming Katie - Christmas eve celebration meal was somewhat delayed as I didn't turn the oven on the correct temperature before going to church....nothing cooks very quickly at 40 degrees C - so dinner was 3 hours late - o well!
We just had cheese and crackers first.

My family always opened presents on Christmas eve, so we're done with that...I call my sister and we do Christmas long distance....Her dog approves her presents and my 4 ferrets, well...they like the boxes, wrapping and ALL the squeekies my sister sent them. (she sent them 12 small, cat sized squeekies....and BOY were they noisy...sorta like givng kids toy instruments for Christmas....)

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year !!!

I'm just going to bed. I washed all the dishes and kissed all the kids goodbye, now it's my time to unwind after a day full of cooking and finishing up the last bit of sewing and wrapping. My neighbor ran over here about 2:30PM and had forgot a BIL's present so she borrowed my machine (in my sewing room of course) to make a saints logo on a sweat shirt with his name one it.

New Orleans got a nice present today the Saints won again!!! Playoffs here we come. What a wonderful present for the city that lost so much.

Be careful everyone in their drives, BIG HUGSSSS coming from Kentwood. And :bday: Baby Jesus for all of us Christians and Happy Hanukkah for those of Jewish faith and all other faiths Happy Holidays.
I'm regressing back into my youth, I just have to figure out how I'm going to convience my body to come along with me.

I hope you all have a great day -- no matter what you celebrate -- or even if you don't celebrate.
I will think of you all as I do my volunteer duty as bathroom monitor at the mission this afternoon.
Have a great one.

Merry Christmas to all! A special blessing for all of you who are working today, so that we don't have to. A huge thank you to all of you who are volunteering somewhere, so that others may have something extra today. It's been a hectic weekend in preparation, but today is a day of relaxation & celebration.

And the dog had so much fun after she stole a stocking full of chocolate....too bad (in her mind only) that we caught her before any damage was done!

We're off to my folks to share more gifts & dinner.
