Hi everyone. I'm fairly new to this forum, in fact this is my first post. I'm hoping someone can help me. I found a top in the January Lucky magazine. It's actually called a boxy camisole. It looks very easy to make, but I'm not having any luck finding a pattern. I've never made anything without one and don't really know where to begin. I would love any advice you have about making your own pattern.

Thanks!
Lisa

Hi Lisa and welcome! Have you tried googling for a pattern for the camisole? I'm sure someone will be along soon with some more help....I mostly quilt and sew for the grandchildren so camisoles are out of my range. Glad you are here!

Another forum, www.craftster.org/forum, tends to have a lot of tutorials that you can follow made by other sewers. They vary in quality -- some have photos of each step, some only have drawings, but that might be a place to start. The forum is down right now otherwise I'd do a quick search for you, but once you get there, scroll down to "Clothing," and under "Completed Projects" I believe there is a post with links to lots of tutorials. You can also try searching the site. Good luck!

Hi Lisa,

I would like to welcome you to this site. You'll get a lot out of it.

If no pattern came with the camisole I would recommend that you find a similar pattern for beginners among the bunches out there. I think you'd be more successful with something meant for beginners. If you get frustrated early on it might just keep you from learning and enjoying a wonderful new hobby.

I wish you luck. Hope to see you around.
