Hello, Merry christmas and Happy New Year!! I am so sorry I have been absent for so long, and I have really missed reading the forums. You would not believe all I have been through. I think I was here after the horrible wreck I was in. Got a divorce, and he pays alimony, just enough to keep the house. I started dating a little, not much available here. lol. My best male friend, the man who sewed with me at work, was in a house fire and suffered severe smoke inhalation, in September. He never really regained conciousness, and died November 3, 2 days after I had to put my beloved 12 year old Dalmation down. My grand nephew was in a horrible wreck Thanksgiving, and spent a month in Birmingham Children's Hospital. Head injuries and a smashed femur, he is 10, but he is doing much better, and is at home. His speech is a little slow, and limps, of course, but he is expected to recover fully. Ex lost his job, so I thought i was going to lose the house again, and his slut dumped him so he started calling me again. He finally went back to work, she took him back, which is a hoot, her living across the street from me, lol. It honestly doesn't bother me, I am glad she took him off my hands, lol. My puter modem went out again. And Christmas Eve, the condensor went out on my heating unit, $850 to repair. the opnly thing that saved me financially was having a little left from my insurance settelment. Finally getting the settlement was a good thing. I was given a free trip to Gatlinburg Labor day. My boss moved into the sewing room and we are gettting along great!! Oh, he took me to the Trans siberian Orchestra concert in Birmingham, Dec. 20 as a bonus for getting a menswear store to send us all their alterations. So, there were some good thing this year. I still have friends, food, a roof over my head, clothes on my back, and a place to lay my head, so I am blessed. And, I am so glad to be back in the best sewing group on the net. Whewww!!!!

Kath, if only the new year doesn't bring in another like last year. I was already a really, really, strong woman, and if I get much stronger, I may take up wrestling!! thanks for the welcome back, you two. I sure have missed this place.
