Happy New Year to all. Unless there's any Kiwis on this site the Aussies get 2007 first. So far I have to say it's been a pretty good year (it's 1.07 am my time).

Hope you all have a wonderful, healthy and happy year for 2007.

Dorothy, I am too old and settled to party anymore, and my feller lives 3 hours away, and we cannot connect this weekend.
I hope everyone has a wonderful year this year, I know I am counting on a better one.
May the Lord bless you and your families, and make all your endeavors pleasant, prosperous, and above all, fun.

You'll be glad to know Pauline that my daughter sent me a text some few hours ago wishing me happy Australian New Year - she is, however, in the UK but determined to party like never before...she las a list of countries and little flags staring with NZ and is working her way around the world. I don't know where she gets it from.

We will be out later to see in the New Year - as we are going to MY friends house TONY is driving!:bg: He gets to let off the firworks though it looks like Sou'wester and wellie weather.
love and kisses, Jan

Happy New Year to all of you!
We're going over to some friends house for a while, but we'll probably be home before midnight. Maybe watch a movie with the kids. It's pouring down rain here today. Not a good day to be out on the roads.
Have a safe and Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all from :Canada:. I'll be sitting at home watching TV and glad of it since they are forecasting 5-6 hours of freezing rain starting around midnight. Won't be an easy time for getting home from the parties.

Wishing everyone health & happiness for 2007!

Judy--stay warm! It's not too cold here today (actually mild) but very rainy and nasty out.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and a very happy and blessed 2007!

Hoping everyone has a safe and happy new year. DH is already sleeping, but not complaining, he hung 8 foot of pegboard on my sewing room walls and helped put together a small desk for computer in sewing room, leaving my corner desk unit for sewing paraphenalia(SP?) LOL. He has to work tomorrow, double time and a half, couldn't pass that up. Tomorrow is my last of 10 day Holiday break, not looking forward to getting back to work. I may spend some of tomorrow organizing my pegboard. any suggestions? SOrry I got off the topic:re: ONCE again, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR Everyone!

My dd, baby and I went to my eldest son's for dinner tonight. We were home by 9 pm. Too many crazies out there on the roads!

Tomorrow everyone will be at my house for pork and sauerkraut-our usual New Year's Day feast.

Debby, I have to go back to work on Tuesday also...not looking forward to it, I love being off!!:bg:

I went to a party with a friend. Good, fun, romantic time. The food was horrid but the music was excellent. 2007 should be a good year. Bring it on, the good and the bad.

We stayed home and watched pay-for-view movie and then the Garrison Keillor special on PBS. With the new television sound system the kids got us for Xmas even that country music sounded good.

Dorothy,
I don't think there's a surround sound system invented that can make country music sound good. Ditto for rap.

Ok guys, I'll admit the country station they play on the radio when I'm at the county clerk's office (few hours one day a week) can grate on the nerves.
And rap is ok, but I'm a little old, I guess.
But I try not to be to critical of any genre of art, music or literature.
My tastes are pretty eclectic. And to each their own.

Rap music is a terrible plague that has seized our great nation and it must be stopped at all costs. Sooner or later, everyone's going to realize that rapping and freestyling is merely an education-deprived, attention span-deficient, imagination-devoid, intellectually incapacitated poor little sap's excuse for a poetic contribution.

j/k. I actually enjoy some rap and freestyling takes some decent talent.

I actually agree. Every form of music has value. I have an eclectic taste as well and am proud to have a little bit of everything in my musical collection. Except maybe opera..............Can't quite get into opera.....:re:

I'm confused, Jan, will your singing make me absolutely SURE I hate it or is your voice so angelic that I'll immediately upon hearing it become a devotee of the operatic genre???

I sing like an angel.

You'll love it.

Honest.

An angel.

My sound engineer always used to turn my mike down compared to everyone else as the pure sine wave I would belt out hurt his ears.

Ha.

They are all jealous.

An angel, I tell you.

Good one, Jan! My poor dogs are covering their ears!

First wedding was in an absolutely gorgeous GLASS chapel designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Boy am I glad we didn't ask you to sing! (Might have stopped me from marrying the bafoon.......)
