HI. For my cutting table I am using a table a folding resin table that is 5' and I I raised by using concret blocks to give me the height that I need. I wanted to use the space under the table for storage and also to hide the concret blocks. So I was wondering how would I place the material on the egde of the table so that I can hide things as well as use the top for cutting? I hope athis makes sense? Any ideas? mirbass |

Perhaps velcro with a sticky back that you can stick on the edge of the table? Laurie |

While not exactly the same, I have an occasional table in my living room with a floor length cloth cover. I had the same situation until I got a glass cover for it - but it still shifts sometimes when the dog decides to crawl under it. I am sure you don't want glass, but how about cutting mats? You can also purchase corner clips to hold table cloths on picnic tables - usually at a dollar type store. If you only want the drop to be fabric, I would go for the velcro or even hot glue if you want to be really permanent and sure. The only concern I would have would be leaning over the table and disengaging the velcro. But perhaps you have a flatter tummy than I.

Since I use the edges of my tables (I have a tape measure attached along one edge) I'd find the fabric on the edge of the table in the way. But I'd be tempted to do it with velcro strips on the underside of the table so that the edge is still open, that way you wouldn't accidently rip it off or catch it when you are cutting or moving your sewing fabric around.

Some sticky velcos are not very strong at staying stuck to the surface, so if you use velco get INDUSTRIAL grade, it works great for me.
