A friend of mine has an over weight cat. I'm not sure how much it weighs, but it's bigger than our rat terrier. Her belly fat hangs down and wobbles when she walks. |

I saw this cat on our TV news station this morning but had missed what they said about him except how much he weighed. Thanks for the "rest of the story." J Jay

I saw this article too. It was on page 2 of our paper. Weird thing here: In this article his name is Goliath. In our paper his name was Hercules. In this article he weighs 20.2 lbs. In our paper he weighed 22 lbs. In this article he was after cat food. In our paper he was after dog food. The lesson: Don't believe everything you read. Newspapers are so screwy. Dh is at accident/fire scenes regularly. Often these are written up in the paper. The facts are almost ALWAYS wrong to some extent. I'm not talking a small town paper. I'm talking San Diego's main paper, The S.D. Union Tribune. I've had my eyes opened and take it all with a grain of salt. I don't believe it's just our paper. Lennie |

Ah Dorothy, nothing personal. With your integrity and talent I'm sure you always take great care to get the facts straight. Maybe it IS just the S.D. Union Trib Lennie |

I'm glad to report that he has been claimed by his owmer who was in the hospital and had no idea that he had gotten away from home. The owners parents are staying at his house to take care of him and he managed to get out of the house. Luckly he showed up at the neighbors house and it does have a happy ending. The Humane Society is going to keep him for the owner until he gets out of the hospital this week and then bring him home with a bag of "weight control" kibbles!!!! |
