My serger has been a ROYAL PAIN IN THE FANNY, the last straw was blowing out the timing while sewing cotton fabric!!!!!! It never has given me clean stitches and it was a Sears Cheapy. Well I took it into the local sewing dealer to get it timed and saw a Bernina 2500DCET that I fell in love with, I got to play with it in the store and became hooked. It's only 3 yrs old and was a trade up for the person who had it before. It sews like dream!!!!!!!! While I was sitting there falling in love with this thing, DH slipped the plastic into my hand and said get it!!!!!! I DID!!!!! They gave me even more than I thought I would get for a trade-in on my old one. I have the house to myself right now so I will be popping in the video and chillin' out with my new baby!!!! |

You are literally Sew Happie now, aren't you? Isn't it exciting to have a fun new toy? You also have the advantage of being familiar with sergers and so they're not a total mystery to you. I also think you must have a dh as wonderful as mine. Mine would do the same thing. In fact, right now he wants me to get a newer sewing/emb. machine and I'm the one who keeps saying no. I'm fine and dandy with the one I have now. Hmmmm, let me guess what you'll be doing this next week............ Sew happie for you, Lennie |

A new Serger!!!! Whaaaa Whoooooo After playing with that baby you will wonder how you ever made out without it. I use my serger all the time now that I have the new one and it does so much more than the old one. Keep us updated on what you're making with it. Yipppeeeeeee!!!!!!!! Hubbies can be nice when they want to be can't they? Mine surprises me sometimes too and other times I'd love to wring his pretty little neck for him. Nahhhh I'll keep'em. I'm regressing back into my youth, I just have to figure out how I'm going to convience my body to come along with me.

Wow! Congratulations on the new baby! I love it when hubbies are so good to the people that share their lives with them. Oh and Naomi...........another use for the serger.......when I'm working on applique blocks (hand applique) I cut my background larger and then serge the outside edges......keeps down the fraying while I work on the block..... Just thought you would want a quilting use for it...... Patty
