Some brands of machine have DVD/videos available for purchase which demonstrate how to use your machine.Perhaps contact the National office of your SM brand and see if they can asiist. No local SM dealers at all? Does your local high school have sewing lessons or classes for their pupils the teacher maybe willing to sit and give you a bit of 1:1, Sewing or quilting groups or guilds may also have people willing to aisst you too just a matter of seeking them out. Cant think of anything else at the moment - better fget back to what I am paid to do hee hee |

When you say -set it up- are you talking about threading it?

yeah when I say setting it up,I mean threading it.mabee it might help to tell you what I did so far.I did the bobbin part already, meaning it has the thread on it.then on the top,I took the spool of thread went along the top of the machine around this metal piece down the side of the machien were theres a slot then back up again and down, then I put the thread threw this whole, this is what is holding the needle.the around the thread cutterdown the side of the needle and threw the needle itself.and that is what ive done so far.i know were to drop the bobbin but afrer that im confused. |

http://www.sewusa.com/ This site has a number of manuals for the machine, and also threading diagrams. I'm not familiar with Brother machines at all, so I hope this will help you. If the bobbin is a drop in bobbin, then the bobbin needs to turn counterclockwise when the thread is pulled, and if it is a bobbin that goes into a case, then is put into the machine, it must go clockwise. Good luck! Laura
