I just want to semi-introduce myself. I'm 52, married, presently on medical leave from the postal service, um...I can't think of anything else right now. Oh yeah...I've been sewing for 40 years. I actually can't remember a time that I didn't know how to hand sew. When I was little I wanted to be a clothing designer...I started out designing clothes for my paperdolls and then graduated to sewing clothes for my baby dolls. I was so excited when I got a "fashion doll" to make "grown-up" clothes for. Obviously, or maybe not, I didn't follow that dream thru (the postal service doesn't have a use for many fashion designers  )but after YEARS of just doing mending and such I've came back to what I call "creative sewing"...actually making something, not just mending. Welcome Nora!!! Glad you could join us. Actually I think the Postal Service could use a fashion designer  . Have you seen the way those shorts look from behind?
