Absolutely gorgeous Jan - do I take from his name that he is a sedate and peaceful pussycat? :re:

How lucky you are, Jan.

What a great shot of him! How old is he?

Out of our 4 kitties I only had one as a kitten. Some might say I was lucky, I guess. But who doesn't love a baby....

As usual, Tony did good.

Happy early b'day. Lennie

He is soft and cuddly Kath, so could have named him cloud - but his previous owners called him Tubbs and this isn't too far apart from that to confuse him and yes, he does move at high speed. He was exhausted which caused him to sit still for a moment for the picture - we think he is about 12-14 weeks old. Not had his shots yet. The lady we had him from found him and his litter mates abandoned by the side of the road still with their eyes shut in October and hand reared them. She did a good job but only this one survived. He is inquisitive, friendly and playful and likes to be cuddled so is by no means a maladjusted cat.

He likes my knitting:bluewink:

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH,HE"S SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!

We have a new one here also, Tiki is a 5 yr old Blue Point Siamese that is being a bit shy right now. The 400 lb siamese hissed at her and scared the poor thing to death. Can't get her out of the basement tonight.

I am sure Turbo, (what a great name), will have many, many hours of fun helping you knit Jan. Can't wait to see him model all of the cute things you will make for him!!!!!! :bg:

What a cutie. I love cats. We have one that was old when we got Lucy and lives in the part of the apartment Lucy is not in at any given time.
I'm sure you and Turbo will have a great time knitting together.

Chewing of yarn has commenced. The eternal batle for domination of the knitting needle has begun. Turbo is sitting on my lap at the computer all wounded innocence as we speak.

funny you should mention that Lyn, he is turning into a toe nibbling monster whi likes to run between your legs whenever you walk anywhere. I think he has settled in.

He can't have him Kath! Not even if we travel by steamship packet to see you! When I think of how few pictures of me there are as a child (maybe 5) we have gone way beyond that for a cat in 2 day - and as you say, passed that image around the globe - times change.

What a lovely alert look. And he looks like a blotched, or classic, tabby, rather than a mackerel? Beautiful coat pattern.

Did you notice his beautiful "Kiss from Mohammed"?

And Brenda, did you have a bad experience with cats? Is it a phobia? Sad to be so afraid.

Awww...I'm jealous!

I am trying to talk my hubby into a new one. Our old "bud" was sick and had to be put down and I still find myself missing him terribly. It has been 5 years.

I am ready for a new one and I want one JUST like Turbo! Love that name too! My brother has one named "Flash"!!! And he sure lives up to his name too, even in his old age!

Isn't it amazing what animals do to our hearts?

He is blotchy with a big target on his side. The classic M above his face for a tabby - and he is gradually learning to bite less. He is fun.

For the biting you might try a stuffed toy he can take his normal rough play/hunting instincts out on. I've found the males in particular like to play roughly and a toy allows them to bite and rip with their hind feet without damage to you. Our four, one male, three females, all like a small piece of carpet remnant to dig their teeth and claws into.

He has a stuffed dog (called Louey) that he bites and kicks the heck out of - I think he tends to bite as he has had no Mum to tell him not to when he nips a bit hard. It is hilarious watching him carrying the dog around in his mouth like a trophy.

We tried to put a collar on him yesterday to start him getting used to it. Turbo indeed - he flew around the house and got himself in such a state we had to pin him down to take it off. At this point I needed the Gloves of Ogre Power - I have got my blood off the carpet now.

Oh Jan, I've got the movie running in my head of you chasing Turbo around the house and him panicking and terrified. I think you missed a spot of blood over by the door! :nah:

Kevin thinks we should have named our most recent addition, (Oscar, around 1 or so), after the Asian character in the old Pink Panther movies. Kato. Remember his thing was to continually pounce from behind doors, etc.? That's Oscar's specialty. Belts from robes, shoe laces, nothing's safe from him. Never mind the other three cats who have all but "Oscar-sized" him from the house! They won't eat with him or play with him. It's pretty sad. It's like he's this annoying little brother with three 30 y/o older brothers who don't want to be bothered. :re:

He's not jumped out on you from the fridge yet then> Strange to tell I had considered Kato as a potential name for him.

By the way, my scars are deep and painful - we had to hold him in a towel and take scissors to the collar as he was so distressed we couldn't undo it without him attacking the person trying to undo the buckle (my poor daughter). After punishing us by not eating for a few hours he seems to have forgotten it while we were still licking our wounds.

No, gratefully our fridge would be a straight 6 ft shot to the top. None have been brave enough to try that. :whacky:

Actually Oscar is the only one who would try something like that. The other three are rather sedate gentlemen. Oscar is definitely the wild card here. He's got personality to spare and would be best buds with Turbo no doubt.

Poor baby, have you stopped bleeding yet??

"best buds" dear Lord, the would eat each other-then take on the world.

New wounds each day Lenny, I am punctured afresh this morning - I console myself that the biting and scratching IS getting less. I have discovered he is most likely to bite when he is tired - a bit like a toddler who gets all fractious before they finally collapse into sleep.
