I am looking to find two kinds of labels for me to put in the clothes I sew:

A "larger", custom one (with my name and email address, maybe a logo)

A set of small tags - series of kids' Euro sizes (92, 98, etc) and kids' standard sizes (12M, 18M, etc).

When I do a search online I get bogged down with many choices, and I have yet to find Euro tags. Does anyone have any good experiences? I specifically am NOT looking for the labels with cute characters or cursive writing or anything.

Thanks for any leads you may have!

I am pretty sure that I got a form to order my custom labels from Hancocks. I had my company name and my city, state...(before web became popular). The city and state gave them a place to find me. My company name was registered in the phone book (at the insistance of the phone company which is the rule if you advertise as a business). I had more room on my tags and if you are going to sell on the internet, a web address is not a bad idea.

I've seen some sizing tags at Atlanta Thread and Supply but I can't seem to find them now. I don't know if they have the size labels that you need or not. Although European sizing is popular, I think most Americans identify with US sizing and I think that I would tend to go that direction, although it doesn't make your clothing see as exotic. (That is just my opinion.) You may be able to find sizing labels the same place as the clothing labels.

I had some labels you could have printed however you want. I think it was from an ad in a sewing magazine. They were not expensive but, since I only sew for personal use or for friends and family I have some favorite rubber stamps and just sign my name now.

My labels were woven with a gold box and Proper Creations, Newalla, Oklahoma in two lines of blue print. They were very pretty. Several customers commented on how nice they looked in the garments, something I didn't expect. I got about 200 and I only have 2 left. I think the name of business was in a special but simple script.

I suspect they came from here...

I also wanted labels for sewing items. I didn't want to spend the money, so I tried different ones myself. I would take an embroidery design that was say a rectangle and then I would insert my name in the middle of it. Then I would find a cute free design and also insert it. I have a digitizer also and that way I can really make it how I want it to look. I've made lots and they all turned out good. I make a lot of pillows for gifts and they are personalized and I attach my label to the back. Have fun and just try it.

At "www.sewbaby.com" a reliable source located in Central Illiniois, USA you can order baby size labels (3, 6 12 mo, 18 mo, etc.) $5.00 for 50 labels. I got mine from them and they are like you find on retail garments.

They did not have european size labels, but also have larger sizes for a different price.
