Is there some way we can all post and view pictures without having to,yet again, give out our email addresses and generate another password?

I noticed that the pictures downloaded on Kodak on some of the posts here require this to view them. Sorry, but I find this annoying and wonder if we can avoid it somehow.

Maybe we can have some guidelines for this on SWN.

I also use Photobucket
You just upload your photos there & then post a link to the folder you want people to see.

Yahoo is the same way as long as you make the album public. I have seen some Kodak links that do not require you to log in. When I first joined Sew Whats New there was a photo album of sorts here on the site but that was a lot of work to keep updated I am sure. I think it is a lot easier on Mary if we just have our own idividual photo accounts.

Still, a good suggestion, to have a posted set of instructions for sharing photos at SWN under the Guidelines for Posting heading. I remember fiddling with it and having frustration at one point myself.

I agree - I found it a bit difficult being somewhat technologically challenged myself.

I finally set up a photobucket account (which was very easy but I had to overcome the mental block first) but haven't yet got around to putting anything much in it. Kids are back at school now (yay) so I should have some more time soon.

Thanks for the link. I'll take a look at it but will probably have to wait for my 15 YO son to hold my hand to actually do it.

I do like the idea of having a set of guidelines in this thread to refer to.
