I spent most of the day at the Brother dealer. I brought home more bobbins for my embroidery machine. I also picked up a new serger knife. But they gave me the wrong one. ANyway The reason I am so excited is that I got a ruffler foot. I have been wanting one for awhile. Well ever since I found they made one for my machine. I read the directions while waiting for the kids I keep in the car pool line and when I returned home I was making ruffles left and right. It now only takes a fraction of the time. I will now no longer have fishing line all over my sewing room from doing ruffles. Yeah!!! I love it.

Catherine, That is so great. I got one and forgot how to use mine and can't find the instuctions. I did make a skirt for one of my containers I used to store my christmas tree in years ago. I covered the huge containers with fabric and made a nice ruffled skirt and used it as a place to place pics on top. Sort of like those little round tables with the table covers with the ruffled skirts but it was oblong. Chrys, Some little girls wear ruffles the rest wear shorts and tees. Unforunately mine are in the shorts and tee group. Except my Trinatte, she loves the twirl skirts. LOL I'm regressing back into my youth, I just have to figure out how I'm going to convience my body to come along with me.

If I had a ruffler foot, I would be excited too. I have always wanted one in all of my years of sewing but I just seem to do all of my ruffles on my serger because they are instant. I think with a ruffler the ruffles are more precise and If I ever did any project that called for tons of pleats, I would run out and purchase a ruffler. |
