Does any one know how to make a cable pattern that is reversible so both sides have a cable? I saw one recently and would like to give it a try.

How about these:

http://home.comcast.net/~rhymeswithfuchsia/redscarf/redscarf.html

And there is one at lionbrand.com but you have to log in to get the pattern.

Not come across this myself Dorothy - but I can see how the ribby one would work. Neat idea.

I just saw that pattern on Knitty Gritty this week. They used it in a baby blanket. You should be able to find it on diynetwork.com. a very pretty pattern.

Thanks win ter,
That is exactly what I was looking for and after much rooting around the web site I found it.
I don't know if I'll be able to figure it out -- but at least I have it now.

Our local newspaper has had a big writeup on knitting every week for a while now. It seems that this has also made a comeback in a big way. I love the work, just can't make those needles go fast enuf to please me.

If you have knit something/anything, you are to be commended. My SIL makes me lovely sweaters every once in a while.

I've been watching Knitty Gritty and Uncommon Threads.. both are on HGTV and DIY Network M_F and at different times.. I am on EST and HGTV has them at 11 am to 12 noon.. DIY network has them on at 1 pm til 2 pm.. They always say look on DIY network.com for instructions for all projects..I forgot to say -- these are not repeats.. they are different programs every day.. So , if I watch both I see 20 programs a week and all different..
