I know it is way past Christmas but I wanted to post them anyway! I started these stockings six years ago when my first girl was born and only sew a little bit every year. It may take the rest of my life to actually finish them. As soon as Christmas is over I can't get motivated to sew them at all, I don't mind, they work. They still need some kind of furry trim at the top and most need a bit of stitching here or there. http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g97/jenny-o-photos/JMDsstockings.jpg http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g97/jenny-o-photos/AOsstockings.jpg |

Those are wonderful. Looks like fun work too. I really love those. You should sew more since you obviously do good work. Lennie |

Great Christmas stockings...they look handmade yet prefessionally made if that makes any sense. I love the folksy look, it makes the holidays so much warmer. |

Thanks for the compliments ladies , it is nice to get the positive reinforcement. When I started them I was doing all the stitching by hand then the next year I bought a new maching that had a blanket stitch so it was much easier and faster. I figure another couple years and they will be done. Honestly, I'm not like that with my other sewing projects. I'm usually antsy until they are finished. |

Ooh - I'd really like a blanket stitch on my machine. I have one that looks like it on the dial but it doesn't come out quite the same in real life. One of these days I'll have to play with it for a while - I'm probably doing something wrong.

Jenny they are really adorable! Don't feel bad. I have a cross stitch from about10 years ago that is still sitting there waiting patiently for me to get at it. I should get rid of it, but you never know. I also have a sweater that I started 3 years ago that is still sitting in the basket waiting patiently.

I love them! Very pretty. Don't feel bad about not finishing things quickly. I think most of us here have alot of UFOs sitting around. I have quilt blocks that are 6 & 7 years old and still waiting to be made into quilts. |

Isn't there supposed to be a UFO challenge soon?
