My husband has asked me to make him a quilt with used advertising carpenters cloth nail aprons like you get at hardware stores. I am having a hard time finding used nail aprons. If any of you or your significant other have any that you are willing to part with I would like to hear from you. Thanks Tammy |

Tammy, what a very cool idea! Sorry I don't have any I can offer you but will be interested in seeing the completed project.

Thanks for the reply. I am having a hard time finding them. I know that they are almost a thing of the past. But I thought it would be worth a shot to ask. If I can find enough to actually do the project-I will post a picture of it. |

Tammy, I think your best bet would be to frequent local auctions throughout the spring and summer, esp farm ones and ones that advertise tools for sale. You could probably find them in box lots for a steal! Or maybe if your hubby has buddies who are like-minded in the tool department, they might be willing to donate off an old one or two. Otherwise, if you don't have the patience to wait, or the time to look, there are some available on eBay, but you'll pay a premium there. Here's a link to the ones on eBay: http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&satitle=nail+aprons Good luck! It sounds like a really cool project. Jennifer |
