Can y'all give me some places to shop for supplies that are reasonably priced? I'm making about 10 roman shades for my house so need a bunch, but I'm not a business so can't qualify for some of the big suppliers. I need roman shade tape, plastic sew on rings, refills for my quilt basting gun, shade ribs and a few other little things. Thanks. |

My first thought is : do you have a Jo-Ann's or Hancocks Fabric near by ? They both have coupons you can get by mail or over the net. Would take awhile I know to get all the things you need but would save some money. Maybe some friends would help you out with some coupons they aren't going to use. Wal-Mart has those produts now. All the fabric depts aren't gone yet. Sould be cheaper there as well. Others might have better suggestions for you. |

If you can use wooden dowels, you might save some $ at Home Depot or Lowe's. The shade tape now includes the plastic rings. I made 2 shades last week and was very surprised when hanging them after they were both finished, to find the needle had left holes ![]() I used a no. 18 needle, thinking it needed to be a heavy one. I wish the holes were not there. sewingbeth |
