the following appeared on the yahoo pr-600/Emb-pro group... if you're looking at a second hand pr-600 II on e-bay or anywhere, please get the serial number... also if you happen to be in your local brother/babylock dealer perhaps you could pass this info along... they check the serial numbers on all machines that come in to be serviced... This is just a crying shame!!! Barb can be reached via the pr-600/emb-pro yahoo group... MO I had a machine stolen this weekend in Canton, Texas. PE600 II I had only had it a couple months. Theft by "friend" I am 99.9% sure. I was sewing on my machines between one & two in the morning and they were stolen between then and 7 AM. Police report has been filed, insurance does not cover, not home owner's, not my business insurance - nada. I have been on this list a while, but not very vocal. I doubt anyone will happen across a suspicious machine, but if you travel at all with yours chain it down or something. These people were like family - I have been selling with them once a month for 2 years. Being alone at the shows, I cannot reload my machine every night and I sleep in my camper about 6 foot from the building/machine.. Brother PE600 II Serial Number U60762-M5B120258 I purchased the machine in Benton, Arkansas. Any red flags you can throw out will be appreciated! Hugs, Barbara Doherty life is too short, not to explore
