I went to a craft show this weekend and found these things that look like a piece of telephone wire but stiffer that you put in your hair and also a long string that has beads on it that you put in your hair sort of like a pony tail holder only it goes on down as you put your hair up. Sorry I am not making myself very clear. I was going to get some of both of these but my husband was with me and wanted to keep moving. Too many people. Should have left him at the house. If anyone has every seen them or knows where I can get them I would appreciate it if you would let me know.
I have looked everywhere I can think of to find them.:whacky:

Thanks

If you are talking about that curly cord that comes in a lot of colors, I have seen it at the craft stores..The young people make bracelets from them and keychains also...

Libby - what you're talking about is called scoubidoos (or scoubis for short) - kind of like the cartoon dog (here in Australia anyway). They're kind of like plastic string that is used to make macrame type stuff.

I'm not sure that is what gholloway is talking about.

These were like a telephone cord or part of it in different colors. You put them in your hair and they stay. Sorry I am not being very clear about it.

I think what you are describing are made from "korker ribbons". You can buy korker ribbons at craft stores, or make your own by wrapping grossgrain ribbon around dowel rods, misting with water, and drying in a low oven.
I've seen it for sale on ebay too, already made into hairbows, or just the ribbon.

The stuff I was talking about is just like the curly phone cord.. Like it had been curled around a finger and stayed curly..
