I'm confused. Isn't snow rather common in NE Ohio? Why is it such a wonderful thing???? Glad you're happy none the less. Lennie |

If you live in the snowbelt it is a common thing. But I live southwest of the snowbelt, south of Cleveland, and this is the first major snow we have had in years!!!!! They are now posting blizzard advisories for parts of the state now. Dorothy, my poor ears!!!! Why you gotta be so mean!?!?!? You don't live near Oswego do you? |

Well here we are in Pittsburgh, no school today, because if a winter weather advisory. Unfortunately I called my supervisor at 4am sicker than sick, saying I would be at school, then 2 hours later school closed. Its been snowing since 4am. we have almost 8 inches, and now its freezing rain on top of that. It stinks being off school and feeling so awful, not even wanting to sew and to add insult to injury, I am developing my first ever cold sore What a mess I am,but I did find the energy after DH brought home supplies to make homemade chicken soup, yum yum. Hopefully we will be off tomorrow as they are calling for more snow after the freezing rain

Dorothy, my poor ears!!!! Why you gotta be so mean!?!?!? You don't live near Oswego do you? Yes, we do live near Oswego. But we don't have near what they do. Those poor people. They had the same thing last year or two years ago. But up on this hill we have plenty. I'm ready to get a can of hairspray and spray the O-zone down!! I know, Mary, quit my whining. You've probably got 10 feet by now. Dorothy |

It is snowing here too! Theyprobably won't call off school because tomorrow is count day & they have to count every kid registered in the schhol as present or present a written excuse to the State in order to get money for them. It is a big pain!!! My great niece said if you want a snow day wear your PJs inside out when it is snowing.

All I can say, is keep it south of me. I have had enough for the year. I am enjoying the roads being clear. Although it is kind of cold. But next week could bring the 30's.

Snowing here too. Took me over an hour to get home, it usually takes me about an half an hour. The roads weren't all that bad and people were being very careful driving, so we did fine. I happen to like the snow and driving in it doesn't bother me a whole lot. Now the sleet I draw the line at don't like it at all.

Storms and blizzards in midwest are making radio news here so they must be fairly bad. Also a tornado in New Orleans was mentioned (another one? - only caught part of the report). Hope everyone is warm and well.

Oh well, day 2 no school. My throat is still sore, but I begged DH to let me out to clean of my car which didnt move yesterday. We need to find someone in the neighborhood to shovel for us. After DH heart attack a few years ago, I don't let him do the shoveling. It did feel good to be out and get some air. Well time for a nap, I told DH to wake me when my SWAP package arrives!!

I got a message from my best friend's sister in law who lives in Cleveland. She was thanking me for the Okie contribution to your snow. She said it has something to do with the weather hook in the Oklahoma Panhandle...they do often really get hit there. Glad we could help.. You guys stay warm and safe now, you hear?

Everybody keep safe and warm out there in the East! My sympathies to those who hate the snow, and I hope you can stay at home and sew!
