Hi! I'm hoping someone can help me find a design for a 1951 Chevy Pickup Truck. I've seen '57's but so far no
1951's. My brother's birthday is coming up and I'd like to make him a T-shirt, showing off his 'baby' that he restored. Maybe if it's not specifically a 1951 model, an early 1950 model might work.
Thanks in advance!

Check Embroidery LIbrary (emblibrary.com), whch just happens to be having a 9 designs for 9.99 right now.

The other place I would look right away is OESD (embroiderylibrary.com).

These are great places to start.

Thanks, Pam and Chrys for your replies. I've already checked out those sites and didn't find what I was looking for. My first stop is always the Embroidery Library and they ARE having a great sale right now! I get a lot of designs there.
Guess I'll keep looking!

I haven't tried any of his stuff, but you might check here...I know he has some fun things...I don't know much about the quality. You also might ask at the Sewforum...they can have some pretty diverse designs in their freebies or one of the guys there might have an idea where to look...

Some of the digitizers at Sewforum are amateurs. You may want to test stitch (for sure).

Thanks for the sites....George's site has a LOT of fun designs, Pam. Thanks for that visit. I did find a couple of old trucks there and I downloaded them but when I tried to open them in my Deco Wizard, it keeps coming up "Unexpected File format". Wasn't sure what that's about since it downloaded as PES , which is what I use. I took it over to my Tajima program and tried to save it as an override, but still I can't get it to come up in Deco so I can write it to my card.( sometimes that works) Any ideas there??
I also found a 57 Chevy on Embroidery.com that I could use but the design is smaller than I want and I don't want to pay for a design that's not exactly what I need and I don't have a resizing program. Why is it that when you have a specific project in mind, there's always ONE thing you don't have?? I guess this is how the embroidery 'hobby' turns into a more expensive pasttime than you planned on it being! :-) It's just too much fun to give up,though!

Sorry, I don't know. I've had a few designs do that when I renamed them so I've changed the way I downloaded and saved them and they were fine. I may have been inadvertantly changing the format outside of my software program (in windows).

Military Mom were the designs in zip format when you downloaded them? If so, you have to use Win Zip or one of those programs to unzip them before you can download them to any embroidery machine, but I'm sure you know that already.

Thanks, everyone, for your interest in replies. I decided to go with the '57 Chevy design. It's close enough to what I'm looking for and I think it'll work out great. I found it on EmbroideryDesings.com. Thanks again!

I know the truck you are talking about we were restoring one for my grandson when Katrina hit we lost it in the flood. They just started working on it so we couldn't take her out of there but after it was in the salt water we didn't want to put any money into it and then it rust from the inside out.

I have a cd with old trucks on it but I think they might be fords, I'm not sure. It's an amazing design pack and the # is ADC1368 Take a look at the pack I got it for my grandson because i thought it was the same truck but I I forgot if my husband said it was or wasn't. I do know that 49, 50, 51, 52, (maybe 53 and early 54 but I'm not sure about the last two years), were all the same body styles. Hope I helped you out.
I'm regressing back into my youth, I just have to figure out how I'm going to convience my body to come along with me.

Yes I think the 90645 is the closest to being a 51 chevy truck, but it looks older than that..... but its close.

NovaFoil, Yes that's the one that looks like the one you have on your site. I think my husband said the body style of the 49,50,51,52,53 and early 54 are all alike except for small changes, (only car buffs would know the difference) I have a hard time telling the difference between the Chevy and the Ford. LOL
