Hi,
I am new to this, so please bear with me. I have a question for everyone, and hoping someone can help me out. Some time ago, I found instructions on how to sew dish towels to make them into a besdsread. I am sure I found the instuctions on the internet, however, now that I am actually ready to make one, I can not find the instructions anywhere.

If you know how to do this, please let me know.

Thank you.

I had a pattern for that in one of the latest Australian Better Homes and Gardens. I am not sure if they have the pattern online or not.
The one in there was just stitch them together to get the size you want, and then thy added a large sashing border in a separate fabric. Then it was just made like a basic quilt. I could be wrong, but I think they just tied the quilt, and didn't actually quilt it, which would also make it a lot easier.
I am in the middle of moving house just now, but if you cant find one in the next week, send me a PM and I will scan it and email it to you.
Cheers, Soph.

I'm happiest when I am sewing!

It's quite pretty actually. I would have never thought of doing this but I really quite like it.

I agree that it looks really nice. Wouldn't have thought of that either.

But I'd suggest you wash them before you put them together since dishtowels tend to shrink a lot. You wouldn't want to get it made just the right size and then have it become too small after it is washed.

Good luck with your project.

Thank you for the response. I know how hectic it is to move, and if its not too much trouble, I would love a copy of the instructions once you have a chance to settle into your new home. Thank you for responding.

Sincerely
Melissa

What a cute idea! I wonder how much it would cost to make that?
