I bought my Ellegante a year ago, and had no problems at all. Then I started experiencing problems with the bobbin. Brought it in for repairs 3 times, and they said they finally fixed it. Today, the machine started making weird noises and locked up tight. Of course its back to the shop. Just wondering if anyone out there has this machine and having any problems. I probably got the lemon! Thanks.

A number of things could have caused the lock up. Most not too serious but the Elagante like the Esante, Brother ULT, 8200 and 8500 are prone to the mainshaft bearings seizing up on the shaft. The parts should be covered by warranty. However if you have had it over 365 days you may be in for a big labor charge. If they free it up without replacing the shaft and bearings be sure to run it heavy for a couple of weeks just to make sure the problem is fixed. A lemon would'nt have given you a year of good service before it started acting up.

My Babylock Ellageo is 5 yrs old (but I really haven't used it much the last 2 yrs b/c of Katrina) The bobbin has started to give me problems also. It suddenly knots up and actually pulls the fabric down into the bobbin thread hole. I just brought it into the shop today. Did you get your machine fixed? What was the problem and was it an expensive repair? Thanks

:coffee: I have all Babylock products...but i don't sew enough to know if I have any problems ...just not enough time or bad at managing the extra time I do get...let us know if you get the problem solved.
