Hi, It is so nice to be able to talk to so many poeple who share a love of sewing. I have been sewing about 30 some years - I learned from my mommy when I was little. I have only in recent years realized it was a passion. I was going on vacation and realized I really wanted to bring my machine along. Wow! I must really love that..? ... anyway I got into doing alterations and realized I could do this as a job. So(sew), I started a sewing business out of my home a little over a year and a half ago. It's going really well. I really love doing fun projects too - crafting things and home decor. I'm to the point now that I really need to invest in another machine ..or 2. Currently I have a Viking 555. I think what I will get next is a blind hemmer. Does anyone have one that they love using? Any they would stay away from? I can't seem to find a place to try out a commercial machine or at least see it in person, touch it, ask questions and be able to get "local" service done. I would also like to be able to do a cover stitch. Maybe there is a machine that is strong enough, but not commercial. Can anyone help? Thanks, Susan |
