I am wanting to learn how to make the bandana pants or halter tops. Does anyone have the instructions for this. It sounds simple but i'm not sure how to sew the crotch area on the pants. I hope someone can help |

For the pants: fold them in half, seams together, cut them into a "J" shape, then stitch as you would a pair of pants, adding casing and elastic to the waist. For the halter top: It all depends on the shape you want. If you want to be able to adjust shaping the just throw a casing on two sides and insert bias tape or cord. Then they can pull to the right shape/size. Or for a more fitted look cut out a large polygon? LMAO I don't know the right terminology but turn imagination on and look at this: /----------\ /=-----------\ /-------------\ Anyway, you get the idea! lol and do the casings and throw in the bias tape or cord. and there ya go! |

I made my first pair today. Easy and cute but definately not for a boy. Even if a boy is wearing them in the picture. I made a pair for my son with fire bandanas looks like a skirt on him.

Well I have been experimenting with more of these pants. I ended up giving the pants I made for 4 yr. old to the 9 yr. old and they fit him like a pair of knee length shorts. I made a pair for my daughter and put elastic in the waist along with the drawstring ind she loves them. The ones I gave to my 9 yr. old are a bit snug in the bum. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem? Gina
