Hello Everyone, I have been a lurker on this forum for awhile. Really enjoy the post especially on the quilt square swap. I could just picture all the swappers waiting for the postman and feel the excitement.

I live at the foothills of the Smoky Mtns and have been sewing most of my life on one thing or another. If it can be done with a needle and thread, I've tried it. I also do other crafts as well, such as decorative painting, porcelain dolls, a little jewelry and some polymer clay.

I started wanting to quilt in the 70's but no one told me you couldn't use polyester except to maybe make a 9 patch, etc. Well needless to say my first efforts went into the can. I collected my magazines and eventually went back to it with cotton and was successful at making a decent block. You know the rest of the story, I was hooked and still am.

Maybe I will be able to contribute to this forum in some way with what I have learned thru my 57 years of sewing. Yeah.... I am a senior but my mind thinks I am young... :bg:

Welcome Jacke. There's a great bunch of quilters and sewists on these boards. I've been quilting for about 7 years, I think. Time flies when you're spending money on fabric and having fun doing it. :bg:

Welcome Jacke,

We'd love to have you join us. And being a senior only means you have more to contribute all the way around.

Hope to see you often.
