Hi Christina and welcome to SWN. I'm from the Ottawa - Gatineau area and am a quilter rather than a sewer. There's lots of people on here that will certainly help you out with all your sewing questions.

Hi Christine, Wow. Two machines and a serger. You're pretty well outfitted for a newbie. A wealth of information around here and comeraderie too. It's just a fun place. Lennie Welcome! |

Welcome Christine - This is a great site, lots of friendly and welcoming people and lots of things to learn and inspire. Look forward to seeing you around. Lennie - Comeraderie - I like your new word LOL - I'm guessing it's just a typo but it could be a newfangled word for getting together to enjoy company more in the invitation type sense than the fellowship sense. Or was it some sort of Freudian slip? Pauline

I am a newbie and also from Ontario Canada, in a little hamlet near Tillsonburg. I have been sewing since I was 13. I am retired now. Previously made my own clothes but not any more. Now do crafts and am just getting into quilting. Really love it but won't give up my crocheting or knitting. I also make Barbie clothes and do a lot of appliquing. You know what they say, "Now that I am retired don't know how I ever found time to work." I really like these forums, learning lots. jessie s |
