I am just tickled pink. I made my first pillowcase dress lol. I had a little trouble with the arm holes but I did it. I have to finish up the appliques, then I plan on posting pics of the completed outfit. (Thats IF I can figure out how to post pics lol) Anyways I just wanted to share my happiness

HI! Good for you!! I am just finishing my first pillow case dresses as well! I made 2, with some matching bloomers! They were my first sewing project (just getting into sewing). I am almost done! Would love to see your pictures- Let's share pics?! (however,I don't really know how to post pics either!) I had trouble with the arm holes too.... Can I ask where you got your pattern? I got mine off of ebay, it was a pattern sent on email and was easy to follow, however I made a few changes of my own... Would love to compare notes with you, if you are intested!?

I just googled pillowcase dress instructions and found these VERY SIMPLE instructions. http://www.everythingsewing.net/pillowcase_dress_how_to.htm This has a printable templet and then you just measure the length you want. I like this dress because it has only one seam, that is in the back of the dress. I am new to sewing as well, but have accomplished several outfits. I just got my camera charged up so I'll be taking pics soon. As for posting pics, some people have a account with photobucket, which is free, that allows you to upload pictures. I believe you can also use the feature (insert image) shown at the top of the box when you are posting a thread. I hope this makes sense lol. |

everythingsewing.net is a great great place!  They have forums too! ANd they are just like this forum, eager and ready to help! Check out all of their how tos and the gallery. Bravo on making your first pillowcase dress ;D I have never made one. Can't wait to see them.
