Just wondering if anyone had some zippers that they would like to get rid of/sell? I am looking for 11"-12" or so in particular, but am open to other lengths as well. Would like new or like new condition.
Thanks!

I don't have any but often www.wazoodle.com will have grab bags of zippers on sale, they are good zippers but sometimes the colours are unusual!

www.homesew.com also offers great grab bags, including a zipper assortment.

and check to see if your regional Salvation Army has a fabric sale. Our does, and it includes notions, books, other craft items...oh man, it's coming up in about 6 weeks and I'm so excited! Anyway, you can usually find great deals on assorted zippers and whatnot there as well...

Hi st13031,

It's really funny, I was cleaning out my zipper drawer today and realized that I had stockpiled some zippers that I have no use for. Give me some idea of colors, invisible or seperating and I'll see if I have them. You're more than welcome to them.

I went through my stash and I don't have any that are 10-12 inches long. Here is a list of what I have that I can part with:

separating

1-37 in. black 2-way separating (extra heavy weight)
1-28 in. cherry red 2-way separating (hvy. wt.)
1-20 in. red separating (hvy.wt)
1-18 in. lt. khaki separating (hvy. wt)
1-20 in. grey separating (hvy. wt.)
1-26 in. navy separating (hvy. wt.)
1-14 in. black metal separating (dress weight)
2-12 in. black plastic separating (dress weight)

invisible
1-22 in. white
1-18 in. white
1-22 in. hunter green
1-14 in. black

metal

1-7 in. white

polyester

1-14 in. lilac
15-7 in. black
1-7 in. dk. brown

If you are interested in any of these, let me know and I'll send them to you.

Wow, Debbie, don't usually keep too many seperating zippers on hand but I keep stacks of various sized garment zippers on hand and often buy 22 inch dress zippers during sales (can cut them down) so that I don't have to truck to the store when I sew. I keep them in a drawer with rubber bands around each color set. I'm surprised that you would give away your stash since they have saved me many a trip.

Well Pam, there's a story with these zippers...There was a Jantzen manufacturing facility about 15 miles from here and when they closed down, they had "grab bags" of notions. A large paper grocery bag was crammed full and stapled together at the top. When I say crammed, I mean it was all they could do to staple it together. No foldovers on the top, just stapled. There must have been 200 zippers in the bag. This was about 5 years ago and I have use many of them and shared with a few friends that are seamstresses. I Have gotten to where I use the invisible zippers on a roll and make my own for most of the things that I do. I do have a few others squirreled away. I completely understand about keeping things on hand, it has saved me many trips out to buy a button, spool of thread, hook and eye, etc.

I am assuming that since you haven't responded to my post, you aren't interested in any of the zippers. I will just add them to the items that I am taking to our local Goodwill store.
