I recently discovered the Burda Maxi Kids patterns. My 9 yr old graddaughter is chunky and hard to fit . Burda 9685 is great for her. sizing is strange - you start with the child's age and then there are 9 widths to select from according to the child's measurements. The size 8, width 6 works great for her and she loves the pants that I've made for her. |

It's nice to know that some of the heavier kids can get a good fit. My grandson was quite heavy when he was smaller and he looked kinda sloppy sometimes.

Thank you for the info on the patterns. I have the problem of a wide son and a very thin daughter to fit. I had a look, and I think i will be purchasing the boys patterns soon. They look like a nice base piece for his wardrobe. It's about time one of the pattern companies did this. I just wish they would redo all of their Plus size patterns along the same line. Cheers, Soph.

I'm glad to hear from someone that has finally made the Burda Maxi! I have a 'maxi' daughter. So far we have used allot of the Simplicty Lizzie & Raven line, the plus size works pretty well for her. I know I love the Burda fit for me, so I'll have to get one of the Burda Maxi to give it a try for her! Thanks for letting us know.
