I would like to make a dress and jacket for my special needs daughter. I am starting with Simplicity #3887 and extending the top to a dress length for her and adding elastic for an empire look. The sleeves will be altered to a short sleeve with lace extending from above the elbow to mid forearm. I found a vest pattern, Butterick 4815, view B. Can anyone help me create a short sleeve to come above the elbow ( the lace of the dress will drape below it)? Hope someone out there has experience in this. Thanks!
