I was given a used sewing machine with the above make and model. I have checked on every site I can find about Singer SM and can not find anything on this model. Is anyone familiar with this? I am new and I live in Florida west coast near Tampa. Deb |

The FM-17 is around 10 years old. It is almost identical to the SM-17 (special Market-discount houses). What were you needing to know?

I was needing to get a Manuel for the SM. Something to show how to thread, set pressure, and basic repairs. I believe the machine needs to be totally redone set. Deb |

Deb your local dealer should be able to get that manual for you.

Tom, Thank you for the help. I was able to get a manual and now hopefully I can learn how to operate this SM. Then the next step will be to learn to use it. Deb |
