I just discovered this site by accident. I am very excited. I have put sewing on the back burner for many years. I am starting up again. I feel like I am learning to ride a bike all over again. I am looking forward to hearing about sewing tips and suggestions and of course peoples projects. I look forward to meeting new people. Till next time Anza54

As a member of longstanding I welcome you Anza. Actually I've been a member roughly 24 hours, LOL. So we are both newbies.

What kind of sewing did you do? I made my own clothes way back, as in 30 years or more ago. Then got into little girls' things, heaps of dresses and such for my girls who are way past that stage. Now I'm into quilting. I'd like to make clothing for myself again, but have had some negative experiences with fitting things. One of these days I have to get brave again.

I made all my own clothes when I was in High School a billion years ago  Then when my daughter was born made most of her clothes until she was 14 then I guess it wasn't cool. go figure kids! I also have tried to do some quilting but get in trouble with some of the projects. I work allot and really have to be in the mood to sew. And God forbid my sewing machine gives me any trouble then I just stop. I decided to start up again and am enjoying it. Except instead to cleaning house on days off I spend it in front of the dewing machine. oh oh. I am single so I guess it doesn't matter,:whacky: Daughter is away at college so the house is all mine. Anyway thanks for the welcome and I am looking forward to meeting lots of nice people.

Hey Anza,

How are you? I'd like to welcome you to this wonderful board. Are you by any chance in the Anza Borrego Desert? I'm your neighbor to the west in the mountains if you are.

Sounds like you're a busy lady. Sewing's an awesome hobby since you can do just a little bit here and there if you want or need to do it that way.

Hope to see you here often.

Hi Anza and welcome to our group! It's so much fun to get back into sewing again isn't it?

Janny, welcome to you also! We are glad to have both of you join us!
