I feel a bit shy about making a new thread when I'm this new but I thought this was an easy pattern. My first attempt was a bit of a disaster but I still was fascinated by how easy it SEEMED. I'll try again of course, but in the mean time I wondered if anybody else might have a bit more luck! lol http://www.simplicity.com/index.cfm?page=section/classroom/sewprojects/totebag/totebag.htm http://www.craftbits.com/viewProject.do?projectID=819 |

This is one I like on making trousers: http://handyprojects.blogspot.com/2005/04/how-to-make-easy-kids-pants.html and a slideshow on the same thing: http://www.flickr.com/photos/msmossy/sets/72157594164362344/ http://community.livejournal.com/t_shirt_surgery/3597625.html |

Thanks for the links! That last one (t-shirt pants) is very interesting! I've seen pants for kids made from the sleeves of an adult sweatshirt, but this is a totally different perspective.
Take care,

You don't say how it was a disaster, what do u feel went wrong with your attempt? Remember, we always expect to learn things right away, and lets face it few people do. Keep trying. One way is to make it first out of an old sheet and work out the kinks that way. |
