I'm searching for a pattern I saw years ago. It was applique, a little Indian girl/woman and you made her hair/braid out of yarn. I think. Any ideas? |

I've seen the pattern you are talking about. I think it was in a book by Leisure Arts. I remember checking it out at the library. It was a view of the girl from behind, wearing a skirt and poncho. You put a trim on the hem of the poncho and skirt and used black fabric for the back of her head, then added a black braid of floss around it for her pigtails. Is that the one? I'll see if I can find the name of the book. |

I haven't had time to search for the name of the book yet, but I'll try to remember to. I made a one block wallhanging with that pattern about 10 years and gave it to a friend who is part Cherokee. I might still have the tracing somewhere in here. If I find it or come across the name of the book, I'll let you know. |

Thanks, NativeTexan, for that link. I do like that pattern but it is not exactly the one I am looking for. I may use it, tho, if I can't find the other one. Bama, I have been checking old Leisure Arts books to see if I can possibly find it there but so far, no luck. |
