Hi everyone, I'm making a jacket from Vogue B8042 for my daughter. I'm using a lightweight worsted wool. What type of interfacing would you use in the construction and would you use an iron-on interfacing on the jacket sections like many of the better ready to wear jackets use. Thanks for all of your input! Debbie |

I don't think you would have a problem with iron on interfacing with wool. But I'd use the knit for sure. Dorothy |

Thanks for the reply Dorothy! Is there a knit interfacing that you like better than others? I've used iron-on knit interfacing only once in my years of sewing, and it was a long time ago. I didn't have a positive experience with it and I think it was more me than the interfacing. Is there a weight or brand that you would recommend over others? Do you pre-shrink yours before you use it and what is the best method to do that? Thanks for all of your help. Debbie |
