Good Morning! I just joined and am looking forward to chatting with all of you. I live in southwestern NH, about 2 hours away from the coast. I am first and foremost, GRAM to 5 spectacular little people (2 are now taller than me, but still babies), Mom to a darling little boy, John (everyone calls him a CAT???), and a lucky wife of 35 years. I work at home and have been trying forever to find a good resource to chat about my sewing ups and downs..A year ago for my birthday my husband bought me a beautiful Bernina 440 QE with the embroidery module and I am really trying to learn how to use it. It is a beautiful machine but might be a little above me (I hope not!) I do all kinds of sewing, except tailoring, love quilting, and I also love to knit...sewing during the day, knitting in the evenings...perfect!

Welcome, Gaidenn. What a wonderful birthday present you received! It would be seriously difficult to top a present like that! It is so wonderful that your husband supports your interests.
