Wow. Thanks for showing that. I know nothing about horses. What is a "dummy"? And the "fatal white gene" while self explanatory is still something I've never heard of. Good luck with the baby. Lennie |

Wow! She is just lovely. I remember fatal white vaguely from my genetics class -- I believe that she would be totally white if she had the fatal white gene. Also, fatal white can only come from the offspring of two white horses. Here's a wikipedia article about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_(horse)

The way the vet explained it last night was that the instines would not be fully devolped in the Fatal white babies. They were both paint horses bread togather. The mom is brown with whites spots scattered. the Daddy is whait with beautiful black almost blue spots. I will try and get some pics of mommy and daddy today to show you. Dummy horse is one that was deprived of oxygen at birth from diff labor. It didnt know how to nurse. Catherine

The baby died about 30 min ago it did have the leathal white I just got a call.
