I went to Jo Ann's today just to get 3 McCall's $1.99 patterns & ended up spending $61.00. I found more sunsuit fabric & some Snoopy fabric for DD. Gotta go wash & hide it before I get caught.

Hey sometimes you just have to go for it!! I am sure I won't get an anniversary gift( never have in 28 yrs.) So I will pretend that is what it is for.

I'm sure you deserved it.
I don't feel guilty anymore for spending money at the fabric stores. DH spends alot more at Lowe's and Home Depot. :nah:

I can't seem to go to Joann's for a button and not drop at least $50 -- and I rarely buy fabric there any more.
Of course I can't go to the grocery store to pick up an onion for less than $80.

Oh, I agree! What is it that makes us stint a $5 fabric sometimes and then go shopping for $60? :bang:

About fabric, I've developed the same principle that my parents taught me about buying books when I was little: as long as you use it, some day, then you deserve it. :bluesmile

I agree with Isabelle's parents.
Fabric, books and music I never balk. My kids are grown and now it is my turn again and those are the things I need.

So true! Dorothy, love the changing avatars.

Only $61.00 Barb???? You're a piker! Of course you deserve it. If you get any grief you just let us have a talk with Mr. "Never Buys You An Anniversary Gift."

Fabric stores and Costco.........Used to be "I can't get out of Costco (Price Club at that time.) without spending $100.00." That was with up to four kids around.

Now it's "I can't get out of Costco without spending $300.00." There's only two of us........ I don't go as often but still........:nc:
