Does anyone know how Burda sizes compare to the big four brands? Or does anyone have a link to a Burda measurement chart? I couldn't find one. Dorothy |

Hi Dorothy... I use Burda patterns all the time. The sizes seem to correspond more with RTW than the big 3 sizes. I'm a size 22 on top and a 20 on the bottom and I love the way Burda fits me. It is much better than any of the big 3. They don't have football player shoulders and the waistline is nearly right on the money (most American patterns have waistlines that hit me right under my bra). I even used Burda maternity patterns...way back 15 years ago! Shelly Moon

I like Burda because they seem to be drafted for a C cup unlike the others which are drafted for B cup and I need to do a FBA for them. I use the same size 14 on the top and 16 for the hips. I seem to be buying more and more Burda patterns |

I'm another Burda fan, I especially like the way the pants fit. They apparently do something different in the crotch positioning, but darned it I remember what or why. And with having narrower shoulders, I don't have to fight so hard to make my shoulder seam be at my shoulder joint, instead of 2-3" down my arm! I size using the normal bust measurement, not the upperbust with Burda
