I missed something, Jan are you moving? Oh that's right I did read you were moving somewhere. :whacky: I've been smelling too much pollen lately, oh well have a good move and take time to smell the grapes too. :dave:

Thanks people - I become disconncted in a matter of hours - I shall go twitchy without my SWN fix!We have lived in this town for 25 years and seen our kids grow up here -- it will be strange to go and start again somewhere else but it can be done, 'eh Susie? We are only moving 25 miles away and I plan on keeping my job and commuting , which a lot of people find odd. But then a lot of people find me odd!

I have a bottle of wine in the fridge and 2 glasses kept out but whether they make it to the new house intact I can't say!

See you all soon.

:whacky: You mean if you don't down it before you get to the new house don't you? Oh moving can be fun. Now that I'm settled I'm very happy especially since I found a few new sewing holes to take a dive in every week. I had my first American Sewing Guild meeting Saturday on my side of the lake. We had a good turn out to be the first one and the laides are fun. I also went to WalMart and ran into the lady who waits on us at the local steak house and it felt good to see someone I reconized say Hey How are you doing? Boy that's what I've been waiting for all this time. Now I feel like I'm home. Good luck I know the feeling of feeling a little lost but you'll fit right in Jan. You're like me you'll make new friends quickly. Hugs and take a few sips of that grape stuff for me.

If I catch you before disconnection - Good luck! If not - welcome back!

Hope things go as smoothly as they can and you manage to get your sewing stuff unpacked fairly quickly.

Have you got the butter out for Turbos feet?

I am thinking of using peanut butter for Turbo - takes longer to get off!

As we are moving to the new church it is not like moving where I don't know anyone - someone is bringing us dinner on Friday night (got the Champers) - round to someone else on Sat night (GASP we might miss the first episode of the new Dr Who - shocking!) and then we are out to lunch on Sunday. One of my fellow teachers lives inthe village and another dear lady from church and a couple of other people have said they will drop in so I am not too worried about being lonely straight away. Rosie comes back from Uni on Monday so that will be nice too.

So yes, fish and chips tonight and the bottle of wine and .........last time in the old house:wink:

See you when I get back..............

Moving is such a hoot. You find more "stuff" that you forgot you had.

Jan, sending you good moving vibes! Happy unpacking! Oh the decisions you'll need to make about what goes where.....and moving it around a few more times till it feels right. We've only been in our house 10 years, but I just can't imagine having to move right now. I'd have to have an "estate" sale to get rid of all the excess -- or goodwill will need to send a special truck!

See you soon!

Thanks for all the well wishes - we are now back online and I can have my' fix' Oh how I have missed you all! Not got the sewing machines out yet but have some mending to do tomorrow - my big Asian quilt to quilt and I have knitted 1 and a half socks with the desperate need for something to do in the evenings. The worst has been al my books are packed away so I have had nothing to read - I hadn't realised how twitchy that would make me!

Well I'm glad to see you -- none the worse for wear, I hope.
When we moved I unpacked my sewing room last because I knew nothing else would get unpacked once the sewing machines were out.
The books were one of the first things to get the boxes (lots of boxes) out of the way.
And I did knit as well to relieve the stress.
Glad you are back on line. We set our moving day by the day the cable and Internet were installed!! But that was mostly because I have to Email stories to work.
Missed you Jan.

Ah, she has returned to us. We were flailing without our rudder to keep us focused.

Welcome back and look forward to seeing your batting eyeballs looking back at me from the screen.

I raise my glass! (I mean this literally ~ it's 5:40 p.m.)

We tried to get the broadband set up the day we moved in - the company told us we had to phone from the new property once we were there and then it would take 5 working days- as this was over Easter....we didn't get the modem until the 10th and asked for it on the 30th. Fish in a barrel- they are the only phone provider to this area grrrr.

Good to be back peeps!
love and kisses, Jan

Jan I paid over 100.00 to get satelite broadbaud so I didn't have to use dial up. That was my options. dial up was between 10.00 - 25.00. I choose the extra money because I want my webpages to come up fast. Now that the modem is paid off it went down to 69.00 a month. I had to wait 2 weeks to get the internet hooked up and the satelite put in but after that I'm happy. Glad to have you back.
