Hey everyone!
I'm Teresa from North Carolina and I'm a quilting/sewing fanatic who also has a nice sewing machine collection. Just brought home my mom's Singer 15 model from 1950, with the cabinet and stool. I had it tuned up and it runs very well, just as it did when I learned on it at age 12. I also have my Singer Fashion Mate from 1969, a Brother serger, a 1947 Featherweight, and a Viking Quilt Designer.

Quilting has been my passion for the past 20 years and now I also teach quilt classes and make quilts on commission. Now and then I make something new to wear for myself and I dabble in sewing crafts too.

This site has grown so much since I first came here years ago. I'm looking forward to sharing with and learning from everyone here.

Welcome, Teresa. You have quite a machine collection!
I'm a newbie at sewing, so I hope you will share some of your sewing wisdom.

Welcome Teresa, I live in Charlotte, and I'm always glad to find other Tarheels on here.. For the longest it seemed like Karebear and I were the only ones... Now we have a little group growing every day! ! I have a Featherweight made in about 1955 (maybe). I bought it from Singer in 1957.. On a rent, then purchase plan..I also have a Kenmore early 70's model, a Companion 20/40 serger about1990, and a Janome (my retirement present to me) 1994.. Latest purchase Janome 900 Coverstitch machine since my old serger still works like new so I couldn't see buying a new one for upwards of $1500.. to get the coverstitch I wanted..I do lots of Crafting and sewing , mostly smaller items.. Some garments for me, more for my grands, and little bits here and there of quilting..(more like bazaar items, though)

Hello Teresa. Welcome. I'm in Chapel Hill so we're practically neighbors.
