Hey Anza,

We get so many too. They are fearless and feed with my cats sitting right below them and me standing nearby. I love listening to their sounds and watching their antics. They get pretty nasty with each other as well. Interestingly a few have stuck around through the winters lately. It just hasn't been cold enough, long enough for them to all migrate.

Great shot!

Great picture! I'm still waiting for the hummers to find my feeder here at the new place...........I miss them buzzing around...I know they'll find it eventually because there are several feeders in the neighborhood. At my last place I had them flying around my hair, I was able to get right up to the feeder while the were eating so I'm hoping for a few to visit here soon.

Thank you all for the nice responses on my avatar picture. I have many pics, but liked this one the best. Looking forward to this season. I hope I have as many hummers as I did last year. I had at least six feeders out. I had to fill them everyday. I probably went through 10# bag of sugar a week. I didn't mind at all. So much satisfaction sitting on the porch in the morning with a cup of coffee and being entertained. It was a wonderful way to start my day. Hurry back hummers!!!

I've been checking the migration map and they are not here yet.. They are into Ga., but not SC. yet.. (as of last week , that is..) I haven't been able to get on computer much , lately.. I have been trying to take up some of my BIG clothes so they don't look so baggy on me, now.. I'm not complaining, its just I always hate alterations, I would rather make something than alter it.. But its a necessity in this case.. Finances, you know..

But on the bright side, isn't it better that you're taking them in rather than letting them out????

(I'm assuming it's a good thing. Forgive me if it's not.)
