My grandma recently passed away. I got her sewing machine and her quilting books. I know this machine was purchased in the late 60's. I am trying to locate and find out more about this sewing machine. The info on the machine says Model DST De Luxe Steamliner Precision Sewing Machine Japan It is blue and white, and says Cordon Bleu on the front. It is also electic. If you know how i could find out more about this machine i would be grateful! I have searched the web and came up empty handed. Thanks for your time! I have photos of this machine, if you will email me i will send them to you. i have NO idea how to post them here! I am very new to all this, and thank you for your time! Rania |

These machines are quite generic, having been sold under multiple names. You can find a Group that enjoys working with them, and which has an easy way of uploading pictures, at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vintagejapansewingmachines/ Bill Holman |

HI I also have an old sewing machine that I got at a garage sale. Went online to try to find it and got no where. It is a "Horizon" J C Penny brand. Model 6984A free arm serial 1545. Went to google and got the Horizon [car] so that was no help. did find one site that seemed to get close but the Model number was 6964 or something like that , didn't go high enough. All I have is the machine and would like to find a manual or something to help me figure out the button system for the different stitches.. Any help would be great. Thanks Katie |
