Well I have been looking over the cottons at fabric.com (http://www.fabric.com/quilting-fabric-just-arrived-quilting-fabric-sunny-side-up.aspx)for inspiration.

I was thinking maybe a "Which Came First the Chicken or the Egg?" swap. Where you send either chicken or egg fabric. But then I wondered how many people would be interested.

So what I need from you all is suggestions for May and June.

So cool! This is post number 1234 for me!

How about just plain material in a say different shade of Pink, blue, purples, it is suppose to be summer by then maybe,

or color of blue sky with colors of sunsets/ sunrise,

I don't know I 'm just talking off the top of my head.

or maybe 1 particular flower, roses, morning glories, or what ever is out in the summer.

I know we just had a what grows in your garden, or a cartoon material,

I like the idea of roses or flowers for mothers day then pretty blues and oranges for sunrise and sunset for June. Just an idea. Either way, I'm in.

How about a beachy theme some time this summer? Water, waves, fish, seashells, lighthouses, shorelines, sailboats, sunset skies, swimsuits, beach umbrellas, etc.

Bama that's a good idea. I like the beach and summer stuff. Also the bugs I was going to suggest.

shaysmema, I got to see the fabic Brenda ordered from Moda yesterday :nah: and it's going to be prettttttyyyyy. I just thought I'd tell you that because you always get to see the fabric first. hehehehehehehe I also bought another bundle of fabric for a lap quilt today. Also, Darlene's Mom is in the hospital, she was having chest pains and Brenda was on the phone with her when I left there today. See you miss everything when you're gone. Come back soon.  I miss ya.
I'm regressing back into my youth, I just have to figure out how I'm going to convience my body to come along with me.

Hmmm I like Bama's suggestion about beachy stuff, and Judy's about just a specific color theme, maybe tone on tones....not thrilled with chickens, my opinion only......lol, but bugs sounds kinda cute, or maybe picnic stuff.... We did one once with geometric shapes....like triangles, circles, squares...I am pretty game for just about anything really...

Some of these are crossing over on the other great suggestions...

Written in Stone - fabrics with any kind of text, handwritting, messages, etc.

Atmospherical Disturbances - fabric that describes weather - could include sunsets, color of sky, etc. or even firecrackers exploding in the sky....

Mad about Plaid (which makes great additions to quilts)

Object of My Affection - any kind of object that causes you to blush - mine would be sewing related

30 Somethings - Reproductions of the 30's

Going in circles - fabrics with dots (speckles), polka dots or circles

Not a mourning person - blacks, half blacks, greys (or even mourning prints)

The hall closet - things including skeletons that you would find in your hall closet (fabric might just even be the color of the object found in the closet) .....

Gone to the Dogs

Hot Flashes - fabrics that are bold, bright and lots of energy

Crocodile Rock - (goes along with the beach theme.....except adds things in the water to watch for including sharks and jellyfish :)

Mid-summer's Night Dream - fabric you bought because you had fallen in love with it....but when you come to your sense you realize it must have been a bad dream

When *^%$ freezes over - fabric about winter

Cry Baby - baby fabrics (for those emergency baby quilts you need to make)

Ohhhh...... what about

Sound of Music ....... fabric with musical notes, instruments...... something music related (could be the fat lady singing)

Ohh wait.......

National Geographic ....... fabric from around the globe

Out of this World...........fabric with stars, planets, solar systems......ET?

When the Dew is On the Pumpkin.............fabric for fall

I am deathly afraid of chickens.......horribly attacked and pecked by a rooster when I was six in the chicken coop while I was gathering eggs....... We ate him for dinner that night and then our hens layed twice as many eggs after his earthly departure.

But what about Birds of Feather - fabric with birds or fabric that looks like feathers .....Just not chickens.....you know rodents with wings (as my daughter calls them)

I am not paying attention to baking my Easter bread.............so I better stop adding ideas...... as you can see, I don't want to get my work done but would rather work on this......

....The Sopranos - fabric that looks like it got whacked bwhahahahahahahahaha

I think I like Hot Flashes for May (Partly 'cause it will go with Patty's block swap) and the beachy/sunset theme for June.

July, August and September judymo will be hosting the swaps. After that if someone else wants to host just jump right in otherwise I will pick it up again.

Now I am down by Bama visiting...It better be gone when I get back next week:yawn:
There are a lot of nice grasses for summer out there and stone, and water and well you get it.

Piney,

Here are the rules that posted for the April Swap.

The Rules
Approximate size 18"x22"
100% Cotton
Washed or unwashed just let us know which it is.
No previous swaps required
Must be an active member of the site for at least one month
Send me a PM with your name, address, phone number and e-mail no later than April 1st.
Lists will go out April 2nd or maybe the 3rd
Mail out date April 23rd.
If your FQ's are not received by April 30th you will not be allowed into the May FQ Swap.

These are decentralized swaps where everyone is responsible for sending their own FQ's to each person in the swap.

Each month has a different theme that the FQ's must match.

Thanks so much, I did get your PM today also. This might be fun depending on the fabric choice. I do use brights and the beach theme might show promise too. With the snow predicted later this week, I need to be reminded of the beach .... long ago and far away. ;~)
