I would use Stitch Witchery, it is my personal favourite and you can buy it by the yard and cut your shape exactly how you like it.

That's cool, there are not many of us around:re: Here in Ottawa I get the french Ginette a lot, 'course my last name is french too, but I'm not. :nah:
