I'm brand new and wanted to say hello. Tonight I'm trying to find someone who has a Pfaff Quilt Expression 2044 who would be willing to chat with me a little. I've lost the manual and had bought my machine used. I'm in the middle of making a quilt and am having trouble with the tension. Feeling a bit frustrated at the moment. But it is amazing the things one finds online when googling for help! LOL Any responders would sure make my evening! Thanks..... |

Mk, welcome to the forum. Patsy (plrlegal) has a 2044. She mentions it in this thread (http://swn-archive.sew-whats-up.com/t-17057.html). Yeah, I found this forum through Google, too. You can search using Google to try an find your manual. That's how I find most things. I found the remote and manual to my Hitachi projection TV and it's over ten years old. |

Thanks.... I searched and searched and just had no luck. Lots of info in German... but that wasn't helpful. I did find Patsy's post (that lead me here) and sent her a note so hopefully will hear from her. Thanks again. |

MK Beane sorry but for some reason I can't receive posts from this board. I've tried changing everything I can and it still won't work. Let's talk about this in the Machine forum and I'll see what I can do for you. Mary also has a 2044 so she can probably help you as well. Paty Patsy

Brenda... No I didn't make that crazy quilt! LOL WISH I DID!!!! That is my passion.... I've been collecting and collecting and collecting.... and ONE DAY!!!! LOL.... actually I was going to use that as my picture.... so I tried to follow the directions and somehow it posts inside rather than next to my name. I'm a newbie... what can I say.... Still learning! LOL 4 years ago I joined the quilt guild here so I could learn how to quilt... The ladies have made some beautiful stuff! 3 years ago one of the older ladies made an absolutely beautiful crazy quilt and after the quilt show, the museaum requested it remain in the museaum.... Once I saw that quilt... I just could not stop thinking of all the possibilities. And every pic I see I like to copy and keep for "future reference"! LOL Oh, I did finally make a quilt after 4 years in the guild! Between Thanksgiving and Christmas I made 2 of the ragged look quilts with flannel for my boys (20 and 24 yrs old) and between Christmas and January 27, I made two more for my little nieces as they turned 5 and 8. They were thrilled. That was between a full time job.... a part time job at Joann's... and all the other things that keep us busy! Currently I am working on a T-Shirt quilt. My son's girlfriend went into the Marine Boot Camp back in February. Before she left she asked me if I'd make a quilt for her. I said I'd be happy to. Then she told me she had an idea and wanted to have her old highschool t-shirts made into a quilt. I said ooookkkkkk..... Then she brought me the "fun".... She had cut them out herself.... no rhyme or reason.... nothing the same size or squared or anything.... And actually had been trying to sew them together... that was too much fun! I finally came up with a beautiful plan.... I'm using a variety of "Attic Wnndows" and I've finally got them all together... Tomorrow I start on the outside borders and hopefully this week I'll get to pull in the backside.... I'm just not sure yet about the quilting part.... Still a bit of a challenge.... She graduates June 1st and my son has been pushing to be sure it will be done! LOL Wish me luck.... I'll post a pic when I get it finished! Thanks for the post and I look forward to chatting.... |

Welcome to the board. I too am a newbie to this board, and have found everyone friendly and willing to help. Since I am not familiar with your machine, I don't know if I can be of much help...other than to ask if you had put in a new bobbin or new spool of thread before this happened??? I sew on several machines, and of all ages, but have found this to be universal. Take out the bobbin and also the spool of thread and start all over. I have had to do that on mine...as well as the sergers. It doesn't make sense...but it works for mine. Kathy a few spare hours, a stash of fabric, and a well oiled machine...
