I have come upon this lovely site a few times and I am so impressed. Hello to all ya'll sewists. I have been sewing 25 years now and I'm looking to start sewing classes in my home. I'm so excited about it I could bust. What could be better than doing what you LOVE and teaching it to others to LOVE as well? I have 4 children, 3 at home and 2 which I homeschool. I have 2 almost 3 grandchildren. 3 of my 4 children are girls and they all LOVE to SEW too. My girls are lately on my machines alot. They also like to use my fabric I have to learn to share. I currently have 3 sewing machines and 1 serger. I am hoping to add to my machines for my classes. I currently use my Brother Disney Embroidery machine for everything. I really love it. Especially the thread cassette and automatic threader. My Kenmore (which was my first) has bit the dust; I recently purchased a Singer off ebay which works quite well. I am considering very strongly the Janome. Any opinions?? Thanks. Oh yes, last but not least, I love to dance for the Lord, even more than sewing!! ***Dance like nobodys watching, love like you've never been hurt, sing like nobody's listening, live like it's heaven on earthy*** Mark Twain |

Hi I am very new to this - and I saw your post, My daughter (age 16) is very intrested in sewing - that's what she wants to do for a living - anyway we just moved to the fredericksburg area and she has a new brother sewing machine and would like to find someone to give her a few classes to get her started. She wants to be able to take her machine with her so that she is learning on her machine - she is mainly having issues learning how to adjust the tension for diffrent fabrics. I am not sure how to post my phone number or email address so we can further disscuss this possiblity so I will recheck this post over the next day and see if you have responded. I look forward to speaking with you. thanks so much, carrie |
