I am from Lethbridge, Alberta but originally from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.
I am a newbie to this forum and just bumbling my way around. I have viewed so many helpful hints and tips and really enjoy the feed back the ladies give each other.
I have a Kenmore serger 81595 and in the process of learning how to use it. Threading is my biggest concern because the manual does not give vivid instructions. I enjoy sewing although I am not overly talented at it but hope to improve.

I am quite happy I found this forum and look forward to being a member
Have a great day

Sandra welcome to Sew-Whats-New. Post all of your questions regarginding your serger in the Serger Forum and you'll get lots of feed back on it. A serger has intimidated most of us at one time or the other, I think.

Hi Mary
I was telling my Mom (Isabelle) that I joined this sewing link and you were from Halifax and she was so excited. She turns 82 the end of this month. I have been making denim purses (no pattern) just out of my head and this week I will be shipping 7 of them down to her in New Glasgow, NS

Hi Sandra, I'm a quilter more than a sewer. So if you need any help on quilting, just post in the Beginner Quilting or General Quilting forums. Someone there will definitely try to help.

Hi Judy
I am going to venture quilting in a few months time. I am going to retire in 8 months time. In the mean time I have had the opportunity to purchase all these boxes of jeans and have been making purses etc but my main goal in getting them was to make a beginner quilt. I definitely will go into that forum and check it out. I will no doubt need all the help I can get.
thanks Judy
